Michael Phelps is on the verge of breaking one of the hallowed records in not just the Olympics but in all sports. He tied Mark Spitz‘s record of seven Gold medals last night with his come-from-behind victory over Milorad Cavic in the 100m butterfly.
Only the 400m medley relay stands between Phelps and absolute immortality.
He’s already the greatest Olympic champion ever with his thirteen medals, and the scary part is that he’s only 23-years-old. Seeing at how good Dana Torres is at 41, look for Phelps to get 30 medals by the time he retires.
Move over Spitz.
And the funny thing is that Phelps doesn’t usually need the Speedo LZR Racer to win.
I wish I got even 0.1% as much ass as Phelps probably gets…
