I should have guess that because last night’s School Of Seven Bells and Black Moth Super Rainbow was so late (10:00 PM) that the show, at San Francisco’s Bottom Of The Hill, would actually start somewhat on time.
School Of Seven Bells started playing at 10:05 PM and pretty much played their debut album Alpinisms straight through. A big pet peeve of mine, neither member of the band spoke more than two words outside of any lyrics, and once they were done they were gone.
I saw Anthony Gonzalez of M83 at the show. I was tempted to high-five him for the awesome show the night before at the Mezzanine, but I withdrew.
Black Moth Super Rainbow played a pretty good set. Having never been to one of their shows before, I don’t know if the guy with the mask and gorilla suit was a one-time or regular gimmick. Who knows?
