Pokerpalooza – Fall 2005

I’ve been mentally preparing for the 2nd annual UC Davis Pokerpalooza tournament. If Tony and BEG’s laziness didn’t get the better of them, they would be preparing too. I will not be alone in this tournament, for Blub has entered and so has his roommate Chris – he did it last year too. My goal is to be at that final table, hopefully besting my 7th place finish. School Sucks II

Yup, it’s that time of the quarter where school becomes like a comet racing toward Earth. Just hit us and get it over with. I hate school. Next quarter will suck. I’m taking 4 English classes in an attempt to graduate early. The suckiest class will be my upper division seminar with only about 14 other people, meaning I have to socialize and do oral presentations. My First Day Of School

Wow. I forgot how many people can actually roam around the UC Davis campus at one time. For the past three months, I’ve been used to the campus and city being a sorta ghost town. The new school year has started and with a new influx of freshmen, the campus is busier than ever. The one good thing is that most of the construction preparing for the new year has mostly been completed. The drawback, however, is all of the new people unaccustomed to riding bicycles has forced me to be more diligent and watchful while on the road. Dammit.
